The Atelier
Mother | Daughter | Artists | Partners In Crime
CS Art Studio is a mother-and-daughter creative duo from South Africa, brought together by a shared love of art, the occasional wonderfully questionable idea and an uncanny ability to finish each other’s sentences.
Catherine studied Fine Arts at the University of Pretoria, majoring in Sculpture, while Siobhan is proudly self-taught, although she’ll readily admit she piggy-backed off Mum’s education along the way.
Their styles naturally complement one another. Catherine gravitates towards expressionistic impressionism, while Siobhan brings a more realistic eye to the canvas.
Together, they work across painting, sculpture and everything in between, always looking for ways to make art unique, unexpected and, where possible, functional.
DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES. ONE CREATIVE LANGUAGE.
AND, NATURALLY, A LITTLE BIT OF CHAOS.
